New in the GX-2: truss is fully side walled; nose floor is strengthened with horizontal truss pieces and full enclosed; the fuselage has double walls from front to seat back; the nose transition is twice the length of that in the gx-1. Because of the different densities in one piece of wood to another, the GX-2 fuselage weighs the same 65 pounds as the gx-1 did at this point in the construction. |
